Browser policies — Enterprise browser management can restrict access to unauthorized AI tools or require approval before use.
Employee surveys — Often the simplest approach: ask employees what AI tools they are using. Most will tell you.
Building an AI Governance Program
Detection is not enough. Organizations need a formal AI governance program that includes an approved AI tools list, usage policies, training for employees, and a process for evaluating new AI tools.
